Sun Day Loft
Nestled in a quiet corner of Berawa, Sun Day Loft is more than just a stay—it’s a way of living.
This guesthouse was designed as a reflection of Wabi Sabi: the Japanese philosophy of finding beauty in imperfection, impermanence, and simplicity. With limited space and a desire to create calm, we approached the layout like a studio artist’s home—multi-functional, minimal, and intimate
The space is composed of two parts: a studio and a loft, each designed with intention.
We used foldable furniture, movable pieces, and space-saving elements to allow flexibility in how guests inhabit the space. Every item was chosen not only for function, but also for how it aged, felt in the hand, or caught the light.
What grounds the experience is nature—right next to the river, the soft, constant sound of water becomes part of the room itself.
There are no sharp lines or loud statements here. Just a quiet invitation to slow down, stretch out, and live lightly.
